There is no single system voltage that is right for every RV. The choice depends on the power you need, the vehicle equipment you already have and the components your installer plans to use.
Look at the whole system
At the same power, a higher voltage means a lower current, but that does not make equipment interchangeable. Batteries, chargers, inverters, distribution equipment and protection devices all need to suit the design. Existing low-voltage appliances may also need an appropriate supply arrangement.
For an upgrade, make a list of your current battery voltage, appliance requirements and charging equipment. Include any parts you hope to retain. A product that looks similar or has a familiar connector is not evidence that it is compatible.
Before buying components
Ask your installer to confirm the proposed voltage and a complete equipment list. Check the exact model's technical specification rather than relying on a product family name. Do not change battery connections to alter voltage unless the equipment documentation and installation design explicitly support it.
Browse technical documents for model-specific information. If you are unsure which documents apply, send the product names and your existing system details to the Litherra team.
