An appliance that works on a campsite supply may still exceed the capability of a battery-powered installation. The inverter, battery and the rest of the system all have limits that need to be considered together.
Check the appliance and the total load
Find the appliance's operating and starting requirements in its documentation. Motors and compressors can have a brief starting demand above their running power. Add any other appliances that are running at the same time; the inverter is supplying their combined demand.
Read any inverter or battery warning and check the reported state of charge. A low battery or a protection condition may prevent operation even when the appliance's label appears to be within the inverter's rating.
Avoid repeated attempts
Switch the appliance off using its normal control and follow the instructions for the exact warning. Do not repeatedly restart a system that is reporting a fault, or bypass a protective shutdown.
Ask your installer to check the appliance's requirements against the inverter's continuous and starting capability and the battery system's limits. Include both model numbers when requesting help. Product documentation is the right place to confirm ratings; a larger battery alone is not a guarantee that an appliance will run.
